Use the Franklin County custodian that matches the record:

  • Common Pleas files: contact the Franklin County Clerk of Courts, 14 N. Main St., Chambersburg, 717-261-3805, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • MDJ case files: contact the specific Magisterial District Court that handled the complaint or summary case
  • Criminal histories and official state checks: use Pennsylvania State Police PATCH or the PSP Individual Access and Review process
  • Booking and current county custody: call Franklin County Jail, 1804 Opportunity Ave., Chambersburg, at 717-264-9513
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement and limited access: obtain the Clerk packet and file at the Franklin County Clerk of Courts
